CATDOLL: Masashi Kishimoto: I will only pursue art in the future, not draw comics just for the sake of drawing comics

"Naruto" has come to an end, and there have been endless interviews with Mr. Kishimoto. Recently, we learned some new developments from Mr. Kishimoto; let's take a look together.

Below are two excerpts from the interview:

Kishimoto wants to draw a new manga, but he doesn't want to serialize it weekly. Because weekly publication is too painful. Kishimoto thinks Jump+ is a great platform, and if possible, he would like to do some irregular serialization on it. As for Naruto, this work became popular unexpectedly. When I wanted to draw it, I didn't think it would be popular. So I decided to draw the new series with the goal of making it a big hit, and strive to draw a work that surpasses Naruto!

Kishimoto: “From now on, I just want to pursue art, and I don’t want to draw manga just for the sake of drawing manga!”
