CATDOLL: The "world's first animation-only cinema" in Akihabara, Japan, declares bankruptcy

Many anime fans like to discuss their favorite works together and have their own space, and Akihabara just provides such convenience. Once a company called OCC built a movie theater in Akihabara under the banner of "the world's first dedicated animation theater", and it was very popular for a while; but the good times did not last long, and the official of the movie theater has recently declared bankruptcy.

It turns out that the cinema officials hope that this can become a new gathering place for anime fans. At the beginning of its operation, it continuously launched new broadcasts, but the effect was not satisfactory, and it even had a debt of up to 42.6 million yen (about RMB: 2.25 million); and the news has been confirmed accordingly.

An industry insider analyzed: "Since most anime fans will buy animation discs themselves, there is no need to go to the cinema specifically." It seems that some things are not as simple as you think. The key is to do a thorough investigation and preparation before taking action.
