CATDOLL: Fox Spirit Matchmaker won the 12th Animation Golden Dragon Award, and Chinese animation has achieved another success

At 20:00 on September 29, 2015, the 8th China International Cartoon and Animation Festival opened and the 12th Golden Dragon Awards ceremony was officially announced. Tencent Animation's original IP animation "Fox Spirit Matchmaker" won the Bronze Award for Series Animation, adding an important achievement to the outstanding achievements the work has made since its launch.

Fox Spirit Matchmaker is a comic created by Tuo Xiaoxin. It has gained great popularity since it was serialized on Tencent Comics. "Since ancient times, humans and demons have been in love with each other through life and death, and a thousand years of fate have brought them together." Fox Spirit Matchmaker begins with this sentence and tells a series of interesting and mysterious stories about Tushan Susu, a fox spirit who works as a matchmaker, and how she matches her former lover Dongfang Yuechu.

In 2015, Fox Spirit Matchmaker won the second Tencent Animation PV Contest with 35,838 votes. On June 26, the first episode of Fox Spirit was broadcast online. As soon as it was released, it was highly praised by netizens for its excellent picture quality and Chinese-style character design. The Baidu search index even reached a peak of nearly 27,000 on the same day.

Just two months after its launch, Fox Spirit Matchmaker ranked in the top five of Baidu's search rankings in the domestic category on August 24. So far, Tencent Animation's original animations have occupied six of the top ten positions on this list. The popularity of Fox Spirit Matchmaker has risen so fast that it has undoubtedly become another representative work of Tencent Animation's original IP.
