CATDOLL: In commemoration of the release of Makoto Shinkai's "Your Name.", "5 Centimeters per Second" and other works will be broadcast on TV

To commemorate the release of Makoto Shinkai's latest work "Your Name.", AbemaTV2 will broadcast Shinkai's past works "5 Centimeters per Second" and "The Garden of Words" consecutively.

5 Centimeters per Second

"5 Centimeters per Second" is the third work directed by Makoto Shinkai. It has a total of three episodes and a total length of 63 minutes.

The images of director Makoto Shinkai's works are very beautiful. The first episode "Sakura" is centered on a boy and describes the reunion with the heroine. The second episode "Astronaut" describes it from the perspective of others, and the third episode "5 Centimeters per Second" depicts the protagonist's inner hesitation.

The Garden of Words

The story of "The Garden of Words" takes place in modern Tokyo, and is about the love story between Akizuki, a young man who aspires to be a shoemaker, and Yukino, an older woman. The theatrical version was released in 2013, and the release of the theatrical version of "5 Centimeters per Second" and "The Garden of Words" has become a hot topic of discussion.

The two works will be broadcast consecutively on AbemaTV starting at 23:00 on July 8 and 11:00 on July 9 for two days.

The two films will be broadcasted consecutively before the release of Makoto Shinkai's latest work "Your Name." (君の名は。)" which will be released nationwide on August 26. AbemaTV's Anime 24 Channel (アニメ24チャンネル) will also broadcast popular anime works in the future.
