The Japanese manga "Underwear Godfather" will be adapted into a live-action TV series in China; in October last year, China's Duomei Film and Television Co., Ltd. signed a formal contract with Industrial Japan and obtained the film and television adaptation authorization of the Japanese manga "Underwear Godfather" in China. According to the latest news, it has been confirmed that the manga will be adapted into a live-action TV series in China and is scheduled to be released this year.

In addition, Japan also adapted a live-action version of "Black Sky, Black Earth, Black Road" in 1994, and it was broadcast once on the predecessor of Phoenix Satellite TV Chinese Channel in 1995. After that, no TV station in China has broadcast it again; however, the profession, stage, and historical background of the Chinese version of the protagonist will be modified according to local culture.

"Underwear Godfather" is a work by Japanese cartoonist Ryuo Nitta. This comic shows the attitudes of people of all social classes in a humorous way. The characters are vividly portrayed and are deeply loved by readers. So it is not a "yellow" comic. It was serialized in the comic magazine "Weekly Comic SUNDAY" (later renamed "Comic SUNDAY") from 1989 to the "January 8" issue in December 2012, with a total of 1,175 episodes. There are a total of 108 volumes of comic books. A total of more than 44 million copies have been issued.
