CATDOLL: France remakes "Astro Boy" with weird animation style that ruins childhood

Previously, there was an article saying that there will be a plan to remake the classic work of Osamu Tezuka, "Astro Boy", which will be jointly produced by animation companies in France, Monaco and Japan, which is also very much anticipated. Recently, the French producer announced a new visual drawing of the remake of the animation, but this promotional drawing shows us a completely different style from the previous one, and it has almost no similarities with the previous "Astro Boy". This visual drawing also attracted complaints from Japanese netizens: I don't recognize this Astro Boy!

The remake of Astro Boy is jointly produced by Tezuka Productions of Japan, Caribara Animation of France and Shibuya Production of Monaco. The animation will use 2D and CG technology, with a total of 26 episodes, mainly for children aged 8-12. The story of the animation will be a completely original new story, and the animation is currently in production.

After seeing this promotional poster, Japanese netizens expressed their dissatisfaction: "This is simply another animation.", "Except for Astro Boy, no one knows who the others are.", "Could that red-haired girl be Ulan? She has completely become a different person.", "Is the bald man next to Astro Boy Dr. Tea?" and so on. It is really hard to accept this style of "Astro Boy". What do you think?
