CATDOLL: "Finding Dory" topped the global box office in its first week, and Dolly swept the world

Disney's animated film "Finding Dory" was released worldwide last week, and the box office was also booming, topping the global box office rankings. Finally returning after 12 years, "Finding Dory" grossed $186.2 million worldwide in its first weekend, and it feels like Disney has created another blockbuster with a standard of $1 billion. This Pixar little blue fish, who successfully became a supporting actor, completely defeated DreamWorks' treasure Shrek in North America, with $136.2 million in its first weekend, breaking the opening record of "Shrek the Third". Dory took in $50 million in about one-third of the international markets, which was 63% better than "Finding Dory" and 51% higher than "Monsters University" during the same period.

Finding Dory grossed $17.5 million in three days in mainland China, surpassing Inside Out's career total of $15.3 million. Dory will be released in France and Spain this week, raising the stakes against Independence Day: Resurgence, which opened in 59 markets including China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia, South Korea and Australia.
