CATDOLL: The main trailer of the animated film "A Silent Voice" is released, and Kyoto Animation is tear-jerking again

Kyoto Animation officially released the trailer and the third visual of the theatrical animation "A Silent Voice" today. In the trailer, Nishimiya Shoko, who suffers from hearing impairment, only uttered two syllables, but it was very touching. It seems that Kyoto Animation intends to make this work another tear-jerking masterpiece.

The movie version is produced by Kyoto Animation, and the director, Naoko Yamada, has won recognition from the industry and the audience for her performance in the K-ON! anime. The script for the movie version is written by Reiko Yoshida, and this is the second time the two have worked together to produce an animation after Tamako Market. The character design is by Daishi Nishiya, who designed the characters for Hyouka and Free!. It was also announced that voice actors Aoi Yuuki, Kensho Ono, Yuki Kaneko, Yui Ishikawa, Megumi Han, Toyonaga Toshiyuki, and Mayu Matsuoka will join the production.

The comic "A Silent Voice" was previously controversial because of the plot in the story that showed people with disabilities being bullied, but it also attracted many readers because of the overlapping of various human natures of the characters and the plot that reflects reality. Nishimiya Shoko is a hearing-impaired person. She cannot communicate with others smoothly except for sign language and notebooks. After transferring to another school, she is still ostracized by her classmates. Her classmate Shoya Ishida even leads other classmates to bully her. But perhaps it is retribution. An unintentional prank by the whole class broke Shoko's hearing aid. As a result, the whole class unanimously put the blame on Shoya, making him the object of ostracism. Shoko looked at Shoya who was ostracized and wanted to care about him, but was misunderstood. Shoko transferred to another school. Shoya, who was promoted to high school, became a loner. His only wish was to apologize to Shoko in person. And this wish changed when he met Shoko again.
