The manga "Ulong Police Station" created by Akimoto Osamu is celebrating its 40th anniversary. For this reason, "Weekly Shonen Jump" has launched a special issue "Ulong Police Station JUMP" which will be released on August 16. Many cartoonists have drawn congratulatory pictures. The 40th anniversary commemorative special issue not only has a new illustration drawn by Mr. Akimoto as the front page of the special issue, but also includes joint comic short stories with the theme of "Ulong Police Station" written by famous cartoonists such as Masashi Kishimoto and Kentaro Yabuki. This special issue includes posters of collaborations between Akimoto-sensei and Hirohiko Araki, Masanori Morita, Eiichiro Oda, Masashi Kishimoto, Mitsunori Shimabukuro, Mizuki Kawashita, and Yusei Matsui, as well as one-page short stories of "Kuroyu Police Station" drawn by Shuichi Aso, Kyosuke Usuda, Koji Oishi, Yujiro Koyama, Riyo Nakama, Shun Numa, and Kosuke Masuda. There are also illustrations of "Kuroyu Police Station" drawn by JUMP writers who have serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump so far. "Ulong Police Station" has been serialized since September 21, 1976, and this year marks its 40th anniversary. This work is also the most serialized youth manga in "Weekly Shonen Jump", and it continues to break the Guinness World Record for the most serializations. |
