CATDOLL: July series "That's Voice Actor" Baseball star's son plays a passerby role

A month ago, Fukuji Ochiai, the son of Japanese baseball star Hiromitsu Ochiai, officially made his debut as a voice actor! At the recording session of the July series "That's the Voice Actor", Fukuji Ochiai attended the event with the other three main voice actors. Although he dubbed some passers-by characters, it is a step that all newcomers have to take. I hope he can go further and further on the road of voice actors.

Takahashi Rie, who plays Ichinose Futaba in the anime, Nagakatsuki Tomoki, who plays Moesaki Strawberry, Takano Marika, who plays Okare no Suzu, and Fukuji Ochiai, who is making his first appearance in a terrestrial anime, attended the recording session. During the session, the group "Iyahonz" from the show performed a mall event, and Fukuji Ochiai played the event staff and enthusiastic fans.

Fukuji Ochiai is the eldest son of Hiromitsu Ochiai, the player with the most triple crown titles in the history of Japanese professional baseball. He has worked in many professions, including being a singer, entertainer, and critic. He started to receive voice actor training at "AMUSEMENT MEDIA Comprehensive Academy" last year and joined the large voice actor agency Aoji Production in April this year.

Fukuji Ochiai said, "I have dreamed of becoming a voice actor since I was a child, and I am glad that I have finally taken the first step. I am nervous but also happy and excited." After successfully entering Aoji Production, his father Hiromitsu Ochiai, who has always supported him since his student days, encouraged him, saying, "From now on, you are a professional voice actor, and you must have a sense of responsibility."

The original author Masumi Asano praised Ochiai Fukuji's acting skills, saying, "He is very confident and is not afraid of any situation. He can act as a character or be a narrator, and has all kinds of possibilities." Her praise made Ochiai Fukuji blush. The original work of "That's the Voice Actor" is a four-frame comic with voice actor Masumi Asano as the script and Kenjiro Hata of "Hyazaki Butler" as the illustration. It tells the daily life of three female voice actors after they form a voice actor group. Because many real voice actors appear in the work, it immediately attracted the attention of voice actor fans after its release. A commercial single volume of all three volumes will be published in July.

The TV animation version is directed by Hiroshi Ikehata of "Robot Girls Z", the series composition is Yokote Michiko of "Shirobako", and the character design is Sasaki Masakatsu of the "Genius Mahjong Girls" series. The animation production company is GONZO.
