CATDOLL: "Spirited Away" is a ratings powerhouse, and its popularity remains high after seven rounds of broadcast

Not long ago, we saw the news in major media: "Hayao Miyazaki won the Oscar Lifetime Achievement Award". I believe that every netizen who has watched the old man's animation will applaud in his heart and feel that he deserves the award. Every animation he created can knock on the most hidden and softest corner of the viewer's heart, making them happy or crying. In order to commemorate Hayao Miyazaki's winning of the Oscar Lifetime Achievement Award, the Japanese TV station specially broadcast one of his representative works, "Spirited Away", in the program "Kinyō Rōdo SHOW!". Even in Japan, a big animation country, new works emerge in an endless stream. "Spirited Away" has been broadcast in Japan for the seventh time, but the ratings show that Hayao Miyazaki's appeal has not declined at all. According to statistics, the average ratings this time reached 19.6% (Video Research surveyed the Kanto region), which is higher than the average ratings of the sixth broadcast on July 6, 2012 (19.2%). What's more, the instantaneous highest ratings once reached 24.8%.

"Spirited Away" is an animated film directed and written by Hayao Miyazaki and produced by Studio Ghibli. The film was officially released in Japan on July 20, 2001. It tells the story of a girl named Chihiro who accidentally came to a magical world. The film won the 2003 Oscar for Best Animated Feature. It is also the first and only animated work in history to win the Berlin Golden Bear at one of the three major European film festivals.

Every time I see the scene where Haku gives Chihiro the rice ball made with magic under the flowers, I want to cry. But I am afraid of being discovered. I want to cry but cannot help it, so I just let it go. Many people have the same feeling, but they cannot explain why. Every child has an imaginary friend who plays with him when he is lonely and stands up when he is in danger. But in fact, how can a child who is cared for by his parents really experience loneliness and helplessness? Chihiro, who is lost in despair, feels it, so at this time, even a small guidance or a little insignificant kindness will be remembered in her heart. Only those who have experienced despair know what that little effort may mean to others. In the future, I will not forget to give within my ability, know how to care for others, and help others.

In the end, Chihiro's hand broke away from the warm hand of Amber River. This scene also made people sigh and feel sad. Why did Amber River repeatedly tell Chihiro not to look back when she left? What would happen if she looked back? I think, maybe this represents the dividing line between memories and the past. In life, people should not always immerse themselves in nostalgia, immerse themselves in the sadness and suffering of the past and complain about themselves. Even if they are reluctant to let go and don't know what the future holds, they still have to keep going without looking back. Chihiro did it, what about us?
