CATDOLL: The first season of "Shirobako" Nico set a new record of 98.4% positive reviews after continuous broadcast

On January 18, the Japanese Nico website replayed the first season of Shirobako, episodes 1 to 12, all in one go. On the final audience response voting page, 98.4% of the audience gave a "very good" rating, which also set the best record for Nico's serialized animation.

Generally, after the anime series are broadcasted, Nico website will provide a survey box, where viewers can click to select five options: "very good", "good", "average", "not so good", and "very bad". As the saying goes, it is difficult to satisfy everyone, even a well-received anime with many likes may not be able to get a 90% or higher rating in the end. Before this, the record holders were "Chihayafuru" broadcasted on September 26, 2013 and "Kill la Kill" episode 23 broadcasted on March 23, 2014, both with 98.2%. The 98.4% positive rating of "Shirobako" has undoubtedly broken this record.

In response, Kenji Horikawa, President of PAWorks, also sent a congratulatory message.
