On February 12, KLab, the operator of the mobile game Love Live!, released its consolidated financial report for the 12 months of 2014, with sales of 21.374 billion yen (up 1.8% from the same period last year) and operating profit of 2.163 billion yen (a loss of 1.2 billion yen in the same period last year). The recurring profit also turned from a loss of 900 million yen last year to a profit of 2.5 billion yen this year. The net profit for the current period turned from a deficit of 2.5 billion yen to a profit of 1.7 billion yen. The main reason for the performance is the great leap forward of the mobile game Love Live!, especially due to the broadcast of the second season of the animation Love Live!, which has led to a significant increase in sales since the second quarter. The cooperation with Shanda in promoting mobile games in February also brought huge funds to the company. After successfully making money, KLab also announced today that it will hold a new event for the LL mobile game competition. The event will start from April 29th, with preliminary rounds in six venues in Japan, and the LL mobile game king will be decided in Ikebukuro on June 7th.
