CATDOLL: Gundam creator Yoshiyuki Tomino launches original robot animation project in Japan

In the past two years, the number of original animations in Japan has increased and the quality is quite amazing, but animation production companies still prefer to make animations adapted from light novels or comics, and original robot animations are even rarer among the already few original animations. Japan's Fuji TV recently launched a project to discover future original robot animation production talents, and the father of Gundam, Yoshiyuki Tomino, is also involved.

The project is called "Let's Make Robot Anime We Want to See" (Please make robot animations that we want to see). This project selects 5 original robot animation projects from more than 500 projects collected from all over Japan, and then asks each of the 5 works to make a 150-second PV and put it online. The original robot animation with the most views will be the final grand prize winner. Tomino Yoshiyuki, the founder of the realistic original animation Gundam series, will also participate in this project of Fuji TV. Tomino said that he is looking forward to discovering the genius of original robot animation production in this program.
