"ぽっけ@hoke_hokke" is a female animator who said that she has been working in animation for a while, but the salary she receives every month is pitifully low. We also know that new animators usually start with animation, and can only be promoted to original painting after their abilities are recognized. She made her salary for July and October this year public online. After deducting taxes, meals, dormitory fees, and bus fares from the salary for participating in the training in July, only 1,477 yen was left, which is less than 100 yuan! Even if Toyama Prefecture is not a big city like Tokyo, such an income is really not enough to do anything.

Although the balance in October reached 67,569 yen, it was still miserable. According to her previous Twitter post, the animation staff could not even attend the barbecue party to celebrate the completion of "Black Corpse".

The last public message of "ぽっけ@hoke_hokke" was that she was fired, and she hoped that no more new people would suffer the same fate as her. It seems that the bottom-level staff of Japanese animation are really miserable, and this situation is also lamented by many foreign colleagues as "blood and sweat work".

Now the situation seems to be adding fuel to the fire: an industry insider said that the Japan Animation Association asked them to shut up. The whistleblower is named Yanagi Kazuyoshi. He said on Twitter that he received an email from the Japan Animation Association, asking him not to post similar remarks on social platforms.
