CATDOLL: Kazuya Minekura, the author of Saiyuki, releases the art book Soul-Pepper

The digital art book "Soul-Pepper" by Kazuya Minekura, the author of the "Saiyuki" series, will be released by Ichijinsha on January 30th.

"Soul-Pepper Kazuya Minekura Digital Artbook" is a box that includes an A5 artbook and a DVD-ROM. The DVD-ROM includes carefully selected original drawings from the "Salty-dog" and "sugar coat" series, as well as nearly 100 drawings that have not been included before. Works such as the "Saiyuki" series, "WILD ADAPTER.", "Private Arasoi High School Student Council Executive Department", "BUS GAMER", and "Beehive" are all included. All drawings can be enlarged freely, and fans can carefully experience Kazuya Minekura's delicate brushstrokes. In addition, Kazuya Minekura's painting process is also included.

The A5 art book contains full-color versions of some of the original drawings on the DVD-ROM, totaling 64 pages, recreating the beautiful art style of Saiyuki and other works.

Kazuya Minekura, female, is a well-known Japanese manga artist. She was born in Kanagawa Prefecture on March 23, 1975. In 1993, Kazuya Minekura made her debut by publishing a short story in Kadokawa Shoten's magazine "Comic Genki". She became famous with "Saiyuki", which was serialized in the monthly magazine "G-Fantasy" from 1996. Not only was it well received in three best-selling magazines such as Shinshokan and Tokuma Shoten, it won the runner-up award for the most popular long manga in "Puff" in 1999. She has launched a lot of peripherals such as animation, novels, and plot CDs, which runs through Kazuya Minekura's entire comic career.
