On May 28, the theatrical version of "Stand by Me Doraemon" was officially released in mainland China. Since its release, the box office revenue has exceeded 320 million yuan, which has attracted great attention from Japan. Previously, due to the deterioration of relations between China and Japan caused by some issues between the two countries, China has not released any Japanese works since the release of the theatrical version of "Ultraman" in 2012. The work released this time after three years is the "Doraemon" theatrical version that is also very popular in China. On the first day of its release, the work achieved a box office of 20 million yuan (about 400 million yen). The reporter also interviewed many audiences at the theater. They expressed their opinions, such as "I want to watch it, I want to watch it, I want to watch it", "We all came together to watch it", "I still remember it. This is a work I saw in my childhood", "We don't need Chinese dubbing to destroy our worldview, we just want to listen to Japanese", etc. It seems that everyone's evaluation of "Doraemon: Stand by Me" is still very high. As of June 1, this work has won a box office of 237 million yuan (about 4.75 billion yen), which is also the highest-grossing Japanese work in mainland China. The previous record was held by the Ultraman series in 2011, but the box office at that time was only 31.15 million yuan (about 620 million yen), which is completely not on the same order of magnitude as this "Doraemon: Stand by Me". Moreover, after its release on May 28, it earned 85 million yuan (about 1.7 billion yen) on May 30 and 88 million yuan (about 1.76 billion yen) on May 31. The results of these two days surpassed the previous record of 67 million yuan in a single day held by "Kung Fu Panda 2", becoming the highest-grossing animation film in a single day in mainland China. In this regard, industry analysts pointed out that the popularity of the "Doraemon" theatrical version may also indicate the improvement of Sino-Japanese relations, and with the success of this work, more Japanese theatrical versions may be released in mainland China in the future. What do you think about whether more excellent Japanese animation works can be broadcast in mainland China? Welcome to discuss. |
