CATDOLL: The Ministry of Culture officially responded to the anime rectification: removing 38 anime from shelves is just the beginning

I believe everyone has heard about the news that the Ministry of Culture officially announced a list of illegal animations yesterday and punished and shut down some websites. In this blacklist of violent and terrorist animations on the Internet, a total of 38 well-known Japanese animations were included in the list. Unlike some previous online rumors, after the news was made public , the Ministry of Culture officially responded that there is indeed a blacklist, and they also stated that they will continue to severely investigate and punish online animation products with illegal content . At the same time, the Ministry of Culture also announced that 29 online animation business units were administratively punished and 8 illegal animation websites were shut down.

Liu Qiang, deputy director of the Cultural Market Department of the Ministry of Culture, said that the Ministry of Culture published this list after the case handling unit determined it according to law, the Ministry of Culture reviewed it and listened to the opinions of experts. The main purpose is to clarify the direction, clarify the "bottom line" and "red line", guide the content self-examination of animation websites and the introduction of animation products, and accumulate experience for the credit supervision of the cultural market. In addition, this confirmation is also to clarify the false "delisting" that appeared twice on the Internet before, reducing blind speculation in the industry .

Liu Qiang said that the main purpose of this investigation and punishment activity is to protect the healthy growth of minors. A number of major cases have been investigated and handled in accordance with the law, which has effectively purified the online cultural environment. In the future, the Ministry of Culture will further strengthen the supervision of the online animation market, continue to severely investigate and punish online animation products with illegal content , improve the "blacklist" system of animation business units and online animation products, and increase the punishment of animation business units that repeatedly violate the law, stop their online animation services, and even revoke their business licenses; promptly publish the "blacklist" of online animation products and require animation websites to stop providing them in accordance with the law.
