CATDOLL: 3DCG animation "GAMBA and Friends" special video released on October 10th

The 3DCG theatrical animation "GAMBA and Friends" which will be released in Japan on October 10, 2015, released the latest special video, character visuals and advance posters today. "GAMBA and Friends" is based on the classic work "Adventurers GAMBA and 15 Friends" by Japanese children's literature writer Atsushi Saito. It has previously launched TV animation and theatrical animation, and is very popular in Japan. The biggest difference between this "GAMBA and Friends" and the previous work is that this is a 3DCG work, and the production is still the White Group that produced the 3DCG animation "STAND BY ME Doraemon".

This time, the White Group will use the most advanced video technology to bring an adventure story of little mice uniting to defeat a powerful enemy. This project was conceived 15 years ago, and the production time is as long as 10 years, with a total production cost of 2 billion yen (about 106 million yuan). It is definitely a big production worth looking forward to. Moreover, this is the first new work in the "GAMBA" series after 24 years since the theatrical animation "GAMBA and Minase's Adventure" was released in 1991.

Because it is a 3DCG animation, the character modeling of this work is very different from the familiar two-dimensional version of the little mouse GAMBA. The characters have become more three-dimensional and have grown a lot taller. In the latest preview poster, the little mouse GAMBA is standing on the neck of the big bird. The composition is exactly the same as the illustration that Yabuuchi Masayuki drew for the original novel, which is a tribute to the original work. The original author Saito Atsuo is full of expectations for this work. He said: "How will the story I wrote nearly half a century ago be revived with what kind of dynamics and accompanied by what kind of music? I am looking forward to the day when the movie is released as excitedly as a child.
