CATDOLL: 2015 first half animation sales are out, Dabai crushes "Love Live!"

Oricon today announced the sales ranking of animation BDs in the first half of the year in the Japanese market. In recent years, American Disney animations have been very popular in Japan, and even Japanese animation products have difficulty competing with Disney animations in terms of sales. In the first half of 2015, only Love Live! Season 2 Volume 7 BD entered the top three on the animation BD sales list, while the first and second places were both taken by Disney animations with an absolute advantage. It seems that even young ladies cannot beat Disney.

Disney animations took up four of the top ten spots in Japan's animation BD sales rankings in the first half of 2015. Even the third-placed "Love Live!" Season 2 Volume 7 BD and "Gundam Origin" Volume 1 BD combined only had about half of the Japanese BD sales of "Big Hero 6." Even the Japanese BD sales of "Frozen," which was released last year, beat the sales of a large number of Japanese animation BDs in 2015. It's really like a foreign monk can chant sutras.
