The TV anime "Himu! Umaru-chan" is based on the manga of the same name by Japanese manga artist Sankakuhedo. In addition, the limited edition of the original manga volume 7, which was released on October 19, 2015, will also include an OVA episode.

"Himusume-chan: Umaru-chan" was first published in Shueisha's "Miracle Jump" No. 10 and No. 11 in 2012 under the title "Himusume-chan: Umaru-chan", and then moved to "Weekly Young Jump" No. 15 in 2013 for serialization. The story is set in Hachioji City, Tokyo, and tells the story of the daily life comedy story of Himusume-chan: Umaru-chan, who is sophisticated and noble outside, but immediately becomes a stay-at-home ACG lover, her brother who takes care of her life, and her friends.
