CATDOLL: Saint Seiya author Masami Kurumada's new manga will begin serialization on July 16

When talking about "Saint Seiya", anime fans will definitely think of the fierce scene of the invincible bronze five fighting the gold saints. Masami Kurumada's autobiographical manga "Blue Age Ichigo Ichie (original name: 藍の時代一期一會)", who created the golden age of "Saint Seiya", will be serialized in "Weekly Shonen Champion" No. 33 (Akita Shoten) on July 16. This work tells the story of Masami Kurumada's journey from junior high school to the birth of "Kumuda Manga".

The slogan of this work was announced in the 32nd issue of "Weekly Shonen Champion" released today (July 9): "Looking back, 40 years have passed. I was far from being a scholar, nor was I a bad boy. I saw hope for the future in boys' comics." In the promotional picture released at the same time, we can see a boy in uniform standing handsomely among the yellow flowers, with comic color pictures flying around him in the wind.

This autobiographical comic is the last part of the 40th anniversary commemoration plan of Masami Kurumada's debut as a cartoonist. The comic has a total of 8 chapters, and the first chapter is scheduled to be published on 22 pages. This work tells the story of Masami Kurumada's student days, his debut as a cartoonist, and his journey to becoming a popular cartoonist. Masami Kurumada has added bold innovation and entertainment elements based on his own personal experience, claiming to create a "super autobiographical comic". Let's wait and see.
