CATDOLL: George Asakura, the author of "Piece of Cake", is about to start serializing a new manga

A new work by a popular girl manga artist is coming! George Asakura, the author of "Love Notes" and "Piece of Cake", will serialize a new manga in Shogakukan's magazine "Big Comic Spirits" on September 14. The work will be officially serialized in the combined issue of the 42nd and 43rd issues, and the tentative name is "Exploding Star (Exploding Star)".

The magazine describes the new comic as follows: "A story about growing up and theatrical ballet. A boy who fascinates other male dancers. But one day, he encounters a setback..."

George Asakura's previous manga "Love Notes" has been adapted into a live-action TV series, which aired in January 2014. Another of his manga "Piece of Cake" has also been adapted into a live-action movie, which will be released on September 5.

Shogakukan's magazine Big Comic Spirits also revealed that Wakasugi Kiminori's new manga "The World is Mine (世界はボクのもの)" will be serialized in the 45th issue of the magazine, which will be published on October 5. The magazine described the manga as follows: "The whole world will be knocked down! What is the invisible honesty of idol otaku?!"

Another work by Kiminori Wakasugi, "We Are All Superpowered", has been completed. This manga has also been adapted into a live-action Japanese drama and a live-action movie.
