CATDOLL: Japan Memorial Day Association designates August 19 as "Volleyball Boys' Day"

The popular manga "Haikyuu!!" is very popular among anime fans. It has been well received by the industry since it was adapted into an anime last year. The second season of the anime has also been officially confirmed and will be aired in October this year. Yesterday, the Japan Memorial Day Association decided to designate that day as "Haikyuu!!" Day and issued a "Memorial Day Registration Certificate" to the TV animation second season production committee. The reason for deciding this day was that "819" is pronounced similar to "volleyball" in Japanese.

The original work of "Haikyuu!!" is a sports manga serialized by Haruichi Furudate in Weekly Shonen Jump. The story centers on the passionate youth story of the volleyball club of Karasuno High School, with the boy Hinata Shoyo who loves volleyball and the talented volleyball player Kageyama Tobio as the center. The TV animation version is directed by Mitsuhiro Konaka and produced by Production IG. The second season of the TV animation version will be broadcast in October this year, and the stage play version will be staged at the end of this year.
