According to the latest statistics in Japan, the theatrical version of "The Monster Child" directed by Mamoru Hosoda was officially released in Japan from July 11 to August 24. In 44 days, the number of viewers has reached 3.99 million, and the box office revenue has successfully exceeded 5 billion yen (about 268 million yuan), which has achieved very good results.

"Monster Children" is the latest work of Mamoru Hosoda, who is loved by the audience for his theatrical animation "Summer Wars" and "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time", following "Wolf Children: Ame and Yuki".
