CATDOLL: "Major League 2nd" surpasses "Silver Key" and single volume sales exceed one million

The sequel to the popular baseball manga Major by Takuya Mitsuda, Major 2nd, was released on August 18. The cumulative sales of the two volumes have exceeded 1 million. Among the manga published by Shogakukan, the only one that has exceeded one million sales in two volumes is Hiromu Arakawa's Silver Spoon published in 2011.

"Major League" is a popular baseball manga that has been serialized by Takuya Mitsuda in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" (Shogakukan) for 16 years. It tells the long growth story of Goro, a baseball boy whose father unfortunately passed away. All 78 volumes of the single volume have been completed, with a cumulative circulation of up to 53 million copies. A TV animation version was also broadcast from 2004 to 2010. "Major League 2nd" is the sequel to this work, telling the story of Daigo, the son of the protagonist Goro. Even though his father's halo may bring him some distress, he still loves baseball.
