CATDOLL: The key visual image of the live-action movie "Chihayafuru" is released and will be released in March 2016

The first key visual image of the live-action movie adapted from the popular manga "Chihayafuru" has been released. The cast includes Suzu Hirose (Chihaya), Shuhei Nomura (Taichi), Mackenyuu (Arata) and Mayu Matsuoka (Ome Wakamiya).

The reason for this promotional picture is that when the original author Yuki Suetsugu saw Hirose Suzu on the set, she said with great emotion: "Chihaya is here." Then in order to "make a promotional picture that can best express the style of the original work and the charm of Hirose Suzu's Chihaya", the picture you see now was chosen. The picture of the original work follows the cover of the second volume of the manga. I believe that those who have read the original work will be impressed by Chihaya's performance in this volume.

When talking about the promotional photos, Hirose Suzu said: "I feel so honored to be able to shoot like this under the name of 'Chihaya'. Although I also feel the difficulties that the live-action version will face, after seeing the promotional photos, I feel that my dream has come true."

The "Chihayafuru" series is adapted from the manga of the same name by Japanese manga artist Yuki Suetsugu. The work is based on the traditional Japanese card game "Karuta" and tells the story of the dream-seeking girl Chihaya and her companions. The first season of the animation was broadcast on October 4, 2011, and the second season was broadcast on January 11, 2013.
