That is, "Conan" will broadcast the special episode "Conan and Ebizaru Kabuki Episode 28 Mystery" for two consecutive weeks. The special episode was produced to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the TV version of "Detective Conan". The first part was broadcast on January 9, 2016, and the second part was broadcast on January 16. This is the first time that Kabuki actor Ichikawa Ebizō has challenged voice acting. Ichikawa Ebizō said: "Congratulations on the 20th anniversary of the broadcast of the animation "Detective Conan". I am so happy to be able to perform with my beloved Conan this time. I will do my best to play this role well and will never lose to Conan, so please look forward to it."

The story takes place on a gorgeous Kabuki stage. Conan and Kogoro meet Ichikawa Ebizō, a Kabuki actor who likes to solve puzzles, by chance. Later, the artifact-level prop "Two-faced Mask" used by Ebizō on stage is stolen, and the body of a related person is also found. So Conan and Ebizō work together to find the criminal. This is a star performance in the animation and Kabuki worlds. Ebizō also shows the unique insight of an actor, and his reasoning ability is no less than Conan's, and he lends a hand when Conan is in deep crisis. The script is written by Kashiwahara Kanji, a veteran of the TV animation and theatrical version of "Detective Conan".
