CATDOLL: Japan's first lesbian couple got married. Will men be single from now on?

Today (November 5), Shibuya District in Tokyo, Japan issued a "Partnership Certificate (original name: Partnership)" equivalent to a marriage certificate to a lesbian couple. Japan's first legal lesbian couple was officially born, and one of them is a former actor of the Takarazuka Revue.

At 8:30 this morning, Japan time, the district office had just opened, and Dong Xiaoxue and Masuhara Yuko appeared at the gate hand in hand. After spending about 15 minutes to complete all the procedures, the two left the district office contentedly and took a commemorative photo in front of the iconic statue of Hachiko in Shibuya. Dong Xiaoxue said, "The person who handled the procedures for us also said, 'Congratulations, and I wish you a long life together.' Thank you very much." Masuhara Yuko said, "Today is a memorable day. We can use this certificate when we go to the hospital and handle real estate procedures. It is closely related to our future life. We will decorate it at home." The district government has only handled the procedures for this same-sex couple, and there are no reservations for the future. It seems that there are not many same-sex couples who have the courage to take this step.

The "Partnership Certificate" is issued to same-sex couples over 20 years old living in Shibuya. In March this year, the regulations on issuing the certificate were officially passed. This certificate has the same effect as a marriage certificate when handling hospital and real estate affairs.
