CATDOLL: Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee: Olympic anime ambassadors do not exist, they were originally cheering for the Japanese team

Recently, a piece of news about the "Tokyo Olympics Anime Ambassadors" has spread rapidly on the Internet. However, in fact, the nine anime characters currently announced are not the official ambassadors of this Tokyo Olympics, but the supporting characters used by the Japanese Olympic Committee (JOC) and the Japanese Paralympic Committee (JPC) to cheer for their country (Japan).

The Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee stated in an official reply email that "Tokyo Olympic Anime Ambassadors" do not exist, and these anime characters only serve as support characters for the Japanese Olympic Committee and Paralympic Committee to cheer for the Japanese sports delegation.

From the introduction page of the Tokyo Olympics official store, the only logos published on the cooperative products are the logos of the Japanese Olympic Committee (JOC) and the Japanese Paralympic Committee (JPC). In addition, other products seen on the website are also related to the Japanese sports delegation, but have no direct connection with the Tokyo Olympics.

The website summary also states that it "sells officially authorized merchandise from the Japanese Olympic Committee and the Japanese Paralympic Committee." It has no direct relationship with the Tokyo Olympics.
