CATDOLL: The classic movie "A Chinese Odyssey" will be made into an animation

Domestic animation has become a new major investment item for various film and television companies. The popularity of "The Monkey King: Hero is Back" this summer has made many people in the industry see the huge IP value of "Monkey King" and "Journey to the West". As a result, various works related to "Monkey King" have appeared, and even the previous "Journey to the West" works have been taken out for re-production. Now we see that "A Chinese Odyssey Part One: Pandora's Box" and "A Chinese Odyssey Part Two: Monkey King Gets Married" have been confirmed in the project filing of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television. And judging from the story outline, the plot is basically the same as the live-action movie.

Western Film Group previously re-screened two classic works of Stephen Chow, "A Chinese Odyssey Part One: Pandora's Box" and "A Chinese Odyssey Part Two: Cinderella", and although netizens highly praised this classic series, the re-screening was a dismal box office. Now, as the mainland copyright holder of the films, Western Film Group is going to make these two films into animated films.

However, the success of "The Return of the Great Sage" is not just a rehash of old stories.
