CATDOLL: "Journey to the West: Hero is Back" was selected into the Ministry of Culture's list of animations to promote socialist core values

The Ministry of Culture recently announced the list of candidates for the 2015 Animation Support Program for Carrying Forward the Socialist Core Values, including the animated film "The Monkey King: Hero is Back" that attracted much attention this summer, 20 product projects such as "Go Away, Tumor King", and 40 creative projects such as "Princess of the Silk Road". According to the relevant person in charge of the Industry Department of the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Culture has implemented the Animation Support Program for Carrying Forward the Socialist Core Values ​​for two consecutive years. This year, the enthusiasm of animation companies to apply has been greatly improved, and 262 projects recommended by various regions have been summarized, covering various forms such as animation publications, animated films, TV animation, animated stage plays, and new media animation.

This year's selected works include "The Return of the Great Sage" and "Go Away, Tumor King", which are recognized by the society and have received enthusiastic market response; "Young Hero - Jiang Geer" and "Zheng Chenggong", which reflect the concept of heroism; "Zhijiang 1945" and "Comic Red Capital (Ruijin)", which reflect the theme of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and revolutionary history. These works have been recognized by experts in terms of story selection, character image, art design, market development, etc., and are considered to be the latest animation achievements that are innovative in art, tell Chinese stories well, and gather Chinese strength.

It is understood that the Ministry of Culture will organize training and guidance for the selected creative projects, invite experts to conduct case consultations, help improve the ideological content and artistic quality of the works, strengthen incubation and cultivation, and accelerate the process of productization. It will focus on promoting the selected works to relevant communication institutions and channels, expand the publicity and promotion of the selected works on new media, video websites, mobile phones and other channels, and enrich the content of network culture with the selected excellent animation works. It will cooperate with relevant departments to carry out network promotion, campus promotion, and youth promotion of animation.
