CATDOLL: Snow White banned in Qatar for corrupting children

Speaking of the classic fairy tale "Snow White", I believe everyone must be familiar with it. We all read it when we were young, and this work was made into an animated film by Disney, which was well received all over the world. However, recently, "Snow White", which has always been a beautiful fairy tale, was identified by the Qatar Supreme Education Committee as "full of sexual innuendos" and a local international school branch was asked to remove the book immediately.

This incident happened at the Qatar branch of SEK International School. On January 21, an angry parent protested to the school, saying that the story of Snow White was full of "sexual innuendos". One parent said that the illustrations and text of the book were culturally inappropriate. However, the book is a teaching material for the school, and it is very excessive for children to see these. Parents also reported the matter to the Qatar Supreme Education Committee.

After that, the Qatar Supreme Education Council issued an order requiring the school to remove the book, and the principal of SEK International School Qatar also publicly apologized: "SEK International School Qatar is honored to be in this country, and we apologize for the inadvertent inappropriateness." At the same time, it also promised that children would no longer have the opportunity to read this book in the school library. But this did not seem to quell the anger of the students' parents. According to Doha News, many people denounced the school on the Internet. Some people said, "Apologies are useless, but they must take responsibility for supervising the school's curriculum and teaching materials. Those who fail to do their job must be punished."

Seeing this, I really want to complain. How could Snow White, as a classic fairy tale, think of what these parents said? Could it be the kissing plot? So many children around the world have watched Snow White, so there seems to be no problem. Are these parents too sensitive? But it seems that this fairy tale has never appeared in Qatar before...
