CATDOLL: Mobile Suit Gundam UC to launch TV animation in April, classic remake

Gundam fans will definitely be familiar with Mobile Suit Gundam UC, which was adapted from the novel by Harutoshi Fukui and made into an OVA from 2010 to 2015. Mobile Suit Gundam UC is considered a more authentic work in the hearts of Gundam fans. Now there is a good news for Gundam fans: Mobile Suit Gundam UC will be released as a TV animation, which will be broadcasted on April 3, 2016, and will be broadcasted every Sunday at 7 am. The new TV animation is called Mobile Suit Gundam UC RE: 0096, which contains the contents of the 7 OVAs plus new pictures.

The OVA of "Mobile Suit Gundam UC" has produced 7 chapters so far. The TV animation version will re-adapt and integrate the previous OVAs. This TV animation will be a half-year series. The opening and ending songs will also be remade by Hiroyuki Sawano's team to bring a brand new experience to fans. The second episode preview and the opening of the second episode onwards have the narration of Shuichi Ikeda. The opening song of the TV version of "Mobile Suit Gundam UC" is "Into the Sky", sung by Tielle. The ED songs are "Next 2 U -eUC-" and "bL∞dy f8 -eUC-", and naNami and Aimer are invited as guests to sing. The CD containing these 3 songs will be released on June 29, 2016.

The story of Mobile Suit Gundam UC takes place after the end of Char's Counterattack, in the year 0096 of the Universal Century.
