CATDOLL: The male lead of the live-action version of "Higurashi When They Cry" Keiichi Maehara will be played by Inaba Yu

We have previously reported that the classic animation "Higurashi When They Cry" will soon be filming a live-action version, and recently the official has confirmed that the actor who plays the male protagonist Keiichi Maehara of this work will be played by Tomo Inaba. For viewers who have watched "Kamen Rider Drive", this role should not be too unfamiliar.

There was a movie version of "Higurashi When They Cry" in 2009. I don't know which work the script of this new live-action version will be based on, but I believe that people are more interested in the actors than the plot. Inaba Yu has honed his acting skills and gained good exposure in recent years by playing Shijima Tsuyoshi in "Kamen Rider Drive". I hope he will also perform well in this live-action version.
