CATDOLL: The second season of the new anime "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans" will be produced in October 2016

The second season of the new animation "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans" has been confirmed by the machine designer Kanetake Ebikawa in October 2016. This animation is a new work launched by Sunrise Animation's "Mobile Suit Gundam" series in 2015.

The work will revolve around two keywords, one is "Gundam with strong drama, focusing on the stories of young boys", and the other is "Gundam that achieves phased changes."

There used to be a big war called the "calamity war". About 300 years have passed since the end of that war. The Earth's ruling body that had existed until now was lost, and a new world was built under a new ruling system. Temporary peace came, and at the same time, the flames of a new war were ignited in the Martian circle far from the Earth.

The protagonist, Mikazuki Augus, accepts a mission to escort Kudelia Aina Bernstein, a girl who intends to liberate the Martian city of Chryse Guard Security (CGS), to which he belongs. However, CGS is attacked by the armed organization Gjallarhorn, which is trying to snatch the bud of rebellion, and retreats after using Mikazuki and other children as bait. Olga Izka, the leader of the boys, sees this as an opportunity and decides to raise the banner of rebellion against the adults who have abused her. Mikazuki, who is entrusted by Olga to repel Gjallarhorn, challenges the enemy using the Gundam Barbatos, a mobile suit from the Calamity War era that is used as CGS's power reactor.
