CATDOLL: American comic giant DC sues Valencia for copyright infringement because the other team's logo is similar to its hero logo

The American comic giant DC recently sued Valencia for infringement, on the grounds that the new team logo is too similar to the logo of their hero Batman!

As we all know, Valencia's nickname is the Bat Corps. According to legend, in the 13th century, Jaime, the first conqueror of Valencia, was defeated by the locals and fled to a cave. At this time, tens of thousands of bats appeared and scared away the pursuers. Later, Jaime successfully took charge of the land of Valencia. From then on, he painted bats on the city's emblem. Since the establishment of the team in 1919, Valencia has also incorporated bats into its team emblem. The team emblem of Levante, another La Liga team in the city, also has a bat pattern.

DC Comics is a giant in the American comics industry, on par with Marvel. They have two superheroes, Superman and Batman, and the subsequent movie remakes are also household names. However, Batman first appeared in the comics in 1939, a full 20 years later than the Valencia football team.

Valencia recently announced that it would update its team logo. The bat pattern on the new logo has spread out its wings, which were originally folded.
