Nowadays, there are at least 50 to 60 animations in Japan every quarter, and as many as 70 to 80. However, there are not many good animations that can really attract our attention. Take the new animations in January 2016 as an example. The animation in that quarter is even called the worst quarter in the history of animation. Recently, most of the new animations are based on light novels, cute and gay anime. Although they have certain selling points, it is hard to see interesting works that truly follow the royal path. Have we really entered the dark age of animation? Indeed, the animation industry is already saturated. If the original work is not good, the adapted animation will not be good either. The interesting animations are still there, but they are hard to find buried in a pile of shitty rubbish. ↑There are too many animated works now. Why are there so many messy works? I think it is because there are too many anime adapted from light novels now. The publishers paid for the animation to increase sales, unlike before when only excellent works could be animated. ↑There must be enough animation works to support the voice actors or anime music production companies. If there are not many animation works, the production companies will be left with nothing. There weren't so many animations before, but now there are a lot of animations, but most of them have no market. There is already an oversupply, and even if the publisher spends money to animate the light novels, it will still be a deficit. Not to mention making money, it's hard to break even without advertising sponsors. No matter where the money is paid for the animation, there are too many shoddy animations adapted from light novels now, and animation has long entered the dark age. The quality of light novels has declined again recently, just read the outline. Light novel style and cute and gay themes are popular nowadays. Some people don't like this kind of theme and think that there are no good works nowadays. In fact, they just haven't encountered the type they like. In fact, it is not that the number of good works has decreased, but that the number of bad works has increased. I no longer watch new anime, I only read fan fiction. It's not that the quality of animation in the past was better than it is now, but there are more and more works now, and the audience has become tired of watching them. The feeling of freshness has been lost, and it is impossible to surpass the masterpieces in memory. But the good thing is that there are more choices, all kinds of themes, and works that were previously thought to be impossible to be animated will become mainstream one day.
