The "Ojigoko Series" is a nine-volume light novel written and published by Nisio Isin from 2002 to 2005. However, when the "Ojigoko Series" won the top spot in the 2006 "This light novel is amazing" list, Nisio Isin said that he felt that the "Ojigoko Series" should not be completely considered a light novel. The novels in the "Ojigoko Series" combine the two elements of reasoning, puzzle solving and cuteness. As a work that just debuted commercially, the writing of the "Ojigoko Series" is not as casual as the later "Monogatari Series".
