CATDOLL: Ghibli and Belgian director jointly release trailer for animation "The Red Turtle"

It has been more than a year since Ghibli released the animated film "When Marnie Was There" in 2014. During this year, Ghibli gave people the impression that it was doing something big, but it didn't let you know at all. On May 11, the 69th Cannes Film Festival was held in France. Many film and television works were nominated for awards at the film festival, including an animated film called "The Red Turtle" in which Ghibli participated in the drawing.

The Red Turtle is an animated film co-produced by Studio Ghibli and France. The film is directed by Michael Dudewitt, a Belgian director who won the Oscar for Best Animated Short Film. It tells the story of a man who survived a shipwreck and tried to build a life raft to escape from a deserted island, but his plans were constantly disrupted by a mysterious giant red turtle. The film debuted at the Cannes Film Festival in May and is scheduled to be broadcast in June. The first trailer was released recently. Let's enjoy it together!
