CATDOLL: Foreign media ranked the best Pixar animations: Eating is king

Pixar Animation Studios (Pixar Animation Studios, Hong Kong translation: Pixar Animation Studios) is a company specializing in computer animation. Its predecessor was the computer animation department of George Lucas' film company; "Star Wars" was produced by them. In addition, many other animated films are also well known to us, such as "Toy Story" and "Wall-E". Recently, foreign media selected the best Pixar animation rankings, and the first place was "Ratatouille". Is it true that eating is the king?

10th place: Monsters, Inc.

This 2001 film has a lot of heart, funny dialogue, and great voice acting from John Goodman, Billy Crystal, and Steve Buscemi. It's a favorite of many children and adults alike. Although critics don't think it reaches the heights of Toy Story, it's still a classic.

9. Toy Story 2

There's no room for mockery with a media review score of 88 points, but it's actually the lowest score of the Toy Story series. After Andy goes out to attend cowboy camp, the toys get into some trouble: Woody is kidnapped, and he has no idea that he's just a collectible. Four years after the first film, some critics think it's as good as "Toy Story 1", while others think the novelty has worn off.

8. Up

A film that lets your soul fly freely in the sky. This film tells the story of 78-year-old widower Carl Fredrickson pursuing a long-cherished dream. Carl ties a balloon to his lover and sets a route to South America, while the adventurous little boy Russell brings some self-identity thinking to the film.

7. Finding Nemo

One of the most beloved films of the Pixar family. There is no doubt that Finding Nemo holds a high place in the hearts of many critics and family audiences. The film's adorable marine creatures (Dory, voiced by Ellen DeGeneres, will have an independent film this summer), the colorful underwater world, and the touching journey of a father searching for his son all left a deep impression on the audience.

6. The Incredibles

Indeed, The Incredibles won the hearts of children with its superpowered characters and humor, but critics were amazed by its clever storytelling and elevated themes. At the same time, Pixar was ahead of its time in realizing the concept of today's superhero ensemble.

"It's a film with huge ambitions - a look at modern society that's equally friendly to adults and children, satirical and inspiring. It's a great film about 'great possibilities'."

5. Toy Story 1

One of the classics of the 90s. A hit with children and parents alike. Voiced by Tim Allen and Tom Hanks, Buzz Lightyear and Woody became classic characters that made audiences think about jealousy and friendship.

4. Toy Story 3

Although it was 15 years after the original film, the 2010 sequel proved that Woody and Buzz's appeal transcends time and space. The addition of new characters such as Barbie and Ken kept the film fresh.

3. Inside Out

This wildly imaginative 2015 animated film offers a whole new take on what goes on inside the brain. Amy Poehler, Bill Head, Mindy Kaling, Phyllis Smith, and Lewis Black provide the voices that bring the characters to life. Get your tissues ready: This one is guaranteed to make you cry.

Second place: "Wall-E"

Set in the distant future, WALL-E proves that robots can have complex emotions. The first 30 minutes of this 2008 animated film are silent and dialogue-free. With Pixar's excellent CGI technology and carefully designed scenes, the film's influence will be long-lasting.

"Bold and traditional, groundbreaking and formulaic, revelatory and moving, the conflicting elements in WALL-E give it great power that would be devastating in other films."

1. Ratatouille

Director Brad Bird created a story about a rat who just wants to be a Michelin-starred chef. Patton Oswalt, Gianni Angelofaro and Will Arnett provide wonderful voice work. Like a fine feast, 2007's Ratatouille was highly praised for everything: infectious joy, heart-touching moments, and beautiful graphics that made audiences salivate.

“A nearly flawless work of pop art and one of the most persuasive portraits of an artist in the history of cinema. It is the ultimate expression of the film they promised to make, a film that is both profound and funny, yet beautifully simple. ”
