Director Yoshiyuki Tomino, who is known as the father of the "Gundam" series, officially announced yesterday afternoon that he will serve as a judge for the Gundam model competition themed "Gundam in G: Restoration" hosted by Bandai. This is the first time that Director Yoshiyuki Tomino will serve as a judge for the Gundam model competition hosted by Bandai. In addition, the competition also invited the mechanical design leader of "Gundam in G: Restoration" Akira Yasuda, Ippei Gyoube, and Kurotoshi Yamane, as well as Kawaguchi Katsumi, who is known as the "Gundam model celebrity", to serve as judges for the competition. The registration period for the "Gundam G Restoration" Gunpla Contest will start on March 14 and end on June 30. After a month of competition, the results of the judging will be announced in August. The winner of the contest will receive a Gunpla signed by director Yoshiyuki Tomino and other judges. "Gundam G: Restoration" is one of the 35th anniversary commemorative projects of "Mobile Suit Gundam". It is also the first TV animation series created by director Yoshiyuki Tomino after "Gundam Reversal" 15 years later. This work is set in the "Regild Century" (abbreviated as "RC Century"), the next new century after the Universal Century, and tells the adventure story of Belle Jenum, a Gundam pilot candidate of the "Capital Guard", an organization that guards the orbital elevator. It is currently being broadcast on Japan's MBS and TBS TV stations. |
