CATDOLL: Is it not long before the comic "High Score Girls" will be serialized and adapted into an animation?

The comic "High Score Girls", which was previously suspended due to copyright issues, has finally resumed serialization after two years of suspension. "High Score Girls" will resume serialization in "Monthly Big GANGAN" released on July 25, and the latest 6th volume will be released on the same day. The first five volumes will be released again with updated covers. I don't know if the animation work of "High Score Girls" is still being promoted.

"High Score Girl" is a youth comic work related to games that Japanese manga artist Rensuke Oshikiri has been serializing in the "Monthly Big GANGAN" comic magazine since 2010. The story describes the protagonists Haruo Yaguchi and Akira Ohno, who are keen on the game "Street Fighter 2", who met each other because of the game. The two were incompatible at the beginning, but their relationship gradually improved and they became closer and closer. "High Score Girl" has already announced that it will launch an animation. Since this comic involves many fighting games and the characters in them, when the animation production company went to SNK in the summer of 2013 to negotiate the relevant authorization of the company's works, SNK discovered that the work used its own game characters without authorization, and formally sued SE in May 2014, so the serialization of the comic and the publication of the single volume of "High Score Girl" were all stopped.
