CATDOLL: Tomohiko Kira, composer of Twelve Kingdoms, dies at 56

Today, a sad news came for fans of "Twelve Kingdoms". The composer of "Twelve Kingdoms", Tomohiko Kira, passed away on July 3 at the age of 56.

On July 6, ZABADAK's Komine Koko published a letter to fans on the group's official website. The letter said that Kira Tomohiko had a sudden health problem while preparing for ZABADAK's 30th anniversary concert in March this year, and after a month of recuperation, he successfully completed the tour at the end of May. ZABADAK was originally scheduled to tour in Tohoku, Japan this fall, and Kira Tomohiko himself had new work plans. Unfortunately, something happened during the preparations, and ZABADAK's future group activities are temporarily unknown. The letter also expressed gratitude to the fans who have always supported ZABADAK.

Tomohiko Kira was born in Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan. In 1985, he formed the group ZABADAK with Yoko Ueno and Katsuyuki Matsuda. The group disbanded in 1993. In 2011, he formed a group with Komine Koko, and the group name was still ZABADAK. In addition to composing music for animations such as "Twelve Kingdoms" and "Spice and Wolf", Tomohiko Kira has also composed music for many Japanese TV dramas, movies, and CMs. He is a very outstanding musician.

It is reported that Kira Tomohiko's farewell party will be held in Tokyo on August 7.
