"Miss Bernard Says" is a funny comic created by Yuki Shikawa. The story revolves around the heroine Machida Sawako. Sawako doesn't like reading, but she pretends to be a "good student" who loves reading, so she is called "Miss Bernard" (a variation of George Bernard Shaw) by others. The comic is currently serialized in Ichijinsha's "Monthly Comix REX" and has won the 18th Osamu Tezuka Cultural Award.
