CATDOLL: Another low-level critic of Japanese broadcasters alluding to "Your Name." plagiarism

CATDOLL: Another low-level critic of Japanese broadcasters alluding to "Your Name." plagiarism

The box office of the animated film "Your Name." directed by Makoto Shinkai has exceeded 14.5 billion yen, and the reputation of this work has always been very good. However, no matter what kind of work it is, there will be people who don't like it, and even come out to blacken the work everywhere. As for "Your Name.", in addition to the Japanese cartoonist Tatsuya Egawa who has always disliked it, there is also a broadcast writer named Nobuo Horita who has been criticizing "Your Name.". Shortly after the movie was released, he posted on his Twitter that "Your Name." is a children's animation, which aroused the dissatisfaction of netizens. Recently, he has made a new amazing statement, saying that "Your Name." plagiarized the lines in the Japanese novel "Crying Out Love in the Center of the World".

In his tweet, Nobuo Horita wrote: "The first line of the 2016 hit movie "Your Name." is "I woke up in the morning and cried for some reason." The first line of the 2001 hit novel "Crying Out Love in the Center of the World" is "I woke up in the morning and cried." So, two hit works in Japan were born with the theme of "I woke up in the morning and cried." It's incredible~ There is such an incredible coincidence~"

Later, Nobuo Horita tweeted again, saying, "The first line of the popular movie "Your Name" released in 2016 is "In the morning, I woke up and cried for some reason." The first line of the popular novel "Crying Out Love in the Center of the World" released in 2001 is "In the morning, I woke up and cried." This is the truth. The same "world system" has such a coincidental similarity. It's so incredible that I can't sleep."

Nobuo Horita has previously exposed his true nature as a fan of Shin Godzilla, saying that Your Name is a children's animation with less historical value than Shin Godzilla. However, now that Your Name has attracted more than 10 million viewers and its box office is almost twice that of Shin Godzilla, the broadcast writer seems to be very upset and has started to criticize it again.

Japanese netizens commented: "I often cry when I wake up in the morning, and I also plagiarized "Crying Out Love in the Center of the World", "He posted the same words several times, and I cried when I saw his IQ." "It turns out that any work that makes you cry when you wake up in the morning is a plagiarism.". One or two lines of similarity really cannot be considered plagiarism, right? Although you like "Shin Godzilla", you should not blacken other works like this. Such behavior will not bring good effects to your favorite works. What do you think of this incident? Welcome to discuss.
