The decision to produce the second season of the TV anime was announced at the "LE TOUR DE YOWAPEDA ~ツール・ド・ヨワペダ" live event held on May 18, 2014. On August 7, 2014, it was announced that the second season of the anime would be titled "Yowamushi Pedal GRANDE ROAD", and the broadcast of the first season's newly edited theatrical anime "Yowamushi Pedal Re:RIDE" was also announced as a precursor to the second season. The theatrical anime will be broadcasted for a limited time from September 19 to October 2, 2014, and the second season of the anime will begin broadcasting in October 2014.

【Plot Introduction】

The protagonist of this work is Onoda Sakamichi, a freshman at Chiba Prefectural Sohoku High School. He is an otaku who loves animation, games and Akihabara. Since he did not meet classmates with the same hobbies in junior high school, he plans to join the animation and manga research club after entering high school. However, the club he wanted to join was suspended due to insufficient members. Faced with such a situation, Onoda Sakamichi began to feel depressed. On the other hand, Imaizumi Shunsuke, who was also a freshman and was active in major bicycle competitions in junior high school, saw Onoda Sakamichi riding a bicycle up a steep slope during training one day, and the story officially unfolded. The TV anime "Yowamushu Pedal GRANDE ROAD" is adapted from the manga "Yowamushu Pedal" by Japanese manga artist Watanabe Wataru, and is also the second season of the TV anime "Yowamushu Pedal". The subtitle is "GRANDE ROAD", which means the grand road.
