CATDOLL: Lupin the Third to be produced as a TV animation after 30 years

When I say "30 years have passed", some people are confused: "A Girl Called Fujiko Mine" was just aired in 2012, so how can it be said to be 30 years? In fact, "Fujiko Mine" is just a spin-off, and the protagonist is not Lupin the Third. The real Lupin the Third, the last part "Lupin the Third Part 3" was already in 1985.

The above picture is the official visual image of the new TV animation. The new series will be set in Italy and the Republic of San Marino, depicting the activities of Lupin in his 20s. It is scheduled to start broadcasting in the spring of 2015 (i.e. April 2015).

The general supervisor of the new TV animation is Kazuhide Tomonaga, who was the original artist of "Lupin the Third: Lupin VS the Clones" and "Lupin the Third: The Castle of Gagliostro"; the director is Yuichiro Yano; the series composition is Yuya Takahashi, who was the scriptwriter of "Lupin the Third: The Gravestone of Jigen Daisuke"; the animation will be produced by Telecom Animation Film.
