CATDOLL: How to Train Your Dragon 2 won the Best Animation Award at the 72nd Golden Globe Awards

The 72nd Golden Globe Awards for Film and Television, hosted by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, will kick off at 9 a.m. on January 12, 2015. The Golden Globe Awards is one of the most important awards in the American film and television industry, and the competition for each award is very fierce every year.

As for the best animated film of this year, five animated films including Big Hero 6, The Book of Life, The Boxtrolls, How to Train Your Dragon 2 and The Lego Movie were nominated for the Best Animated Film Award. In the end, How to Train Your Dragon 2 stood out from other films and won the Best Animated Film of the 72nd Golden Globe Awards.

Director Dean DeBlois and the screenwriter went on stage to accept the award: "It's incredible, we are very excited. On behalf of more than 400 staff members, thank you all, thank you Jeffrey, thank you partners, they have always been with me."

How to Train Your Dragon 2 is a 3D fantasy comedy animated film written and directed by Dean DeBlois in 2014. It was produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by 20th Century Fox. Jay Baruchel, Gerard Butler, Jonah Hill and TJ Miller voiced the characters. It is adapted from the children's book of the same name written by British female writer Cressida Cowell and is the sequel to How to Train Your Dragon in 2010. How to Train Your Dragon 2 is a global hit, with a total box office of more than $615 million. DreamWorks Animation made a lot of money and successfully got rid of the dilemma of poor performance in the first two quarters.
