The Japanese drama version of the suspense novel "An Xiangzou Zhe (original name: 闇の伴走者)" written by Hisashi Nagasaki, who served as the original author and producer of Naoki Urasawa's manga "Dangerous Investigator" and "PLUTO" respectively, will be broadcast on WOWOW from April. This work tells the story of an unpublished manuscript discovered on the anniversary of the death of manga master Fumuya Ajima, which causes a series of missing women 35 years ago to resurface. The former detective and the manga editor work together to pursue the secrets hidden in the manga. The live-action Japanese drama version is directed by Miki Takahiro, who has worked on films such as "Raku to Path" and "Our Existence". Sato Dai, who has worked on works such as "Cowboy Bebop" and "Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex", and Ashi Kumiko, who has worked on works such as "The Rules of Kogoroki", are jointly in charge of the script. The original comic manuscript of Fumuya Ajima that appears in the play will be written by cartoonist Keiichi Tanaka and Junji Ito, the author of horror comics such as "Tomie" and "Uzumaki". Although the cast of the Japanese drama version has not yet been announced, just looking at the production lineup you can tell that this will be one of the new Japanese dramas worth looking forward to in April. |
